Alana Owens, also known as The Meditating Therapist, is a writer whose journey of healing and self-discovery is inextricably linked with her work as a therapist and coach. She is honored and grateful to be growing alongside others at the intersection of motherhood and entheogens.

Her unique perspective on post‐traumatic growth and expansion has been shaped by the many obstacles she has overcome in life, including childhood cancer. As a M.O.M., her vision is that, through collective effort, not only will children receive the tools and resources they need to navigate life’s challenges, but they will also be raised to embody their true essence and worth with ease, shifting away from the old paradigm that suffering is the only pathway to wholeness.

Alana holds a BA in Contemplative Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, CO, and a Master’s in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. A second-generation meditation and yoga practitioner with a 20-year background in nursing, she is currently training in The Condor Approach for psychedelic integration. Originally from New York, she now splits her time between Delray Beach, FL, and Denver, CO, with her partner and two young children.
